Days Gone Will Be at E3 2017 in a ‘Big Way’

PS4 exclusive Days Gone is set to feature at E3 2017 in a “big way.” The post-apocalyptic zombie game was a surprise announcement from Sony during last year’s E3 press conference and has since been named one of the PS4 exclusives to look forward to.

During a recent Twitch stream (at 13:27 in the video below), Samuel Witwer, who plays lead character Deacon St. John in the upcoming PS4 game, confirmed that Days Gone will be E3 2017 “in a big way.” Although Witwer didn’t reveal much else about how the game would be present during the annual industry event, it stands to reason that Days Gone will at the very least be present during the Sony E3 2017 press conference.

Given that the game has already been shown in action, fans can likely expect even more gameplay to be showcased during the Sony presser. However, there’s also a big chance that the Days Gone release date will be confirmed too. As developer SIE Bend Studios has more than doubled the amount of staff on its books since the game was first announced last summer, there is speculation that the game will be available sooner rather than later and that is ramping up development as a final push before the game is out the door.

Whatever SIE Bend Studios has to show of the game, it’s almost a guarantee that Days Gone will be just one highlight of the Sony E3 2017 press conference. The company is expected to go all out, showing off a variety of PS4 exclusive games, talking about games with PS4 Pro enhancements, and given the strong sales of its virtual reality headset, there may be talk of PlayStation VR games too.

Announcements to expect include talk of Destiny 2, another look at Norse action title God of War, and possibly the upcoming PS4-exclusive Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games (which still doesn’t have a confirmed title yet). Fans will also have their fingers crossed for more news on The Last of Us: Part 2, for although the game was only announced in December (and is said to be quite early in development), PS4 players are champing at the bit for more on the platform exclusive. Something about Hideo Kojima’s mysterious Death Stranding may also be shown along with plenty of surprises. Fans won’t want to miss it.

Days Gone does not have a release date yet but is in development for PS4.
