Six new maps will be released.
Fire Emblem Fates will get new DLC maps that expand the game’s “sprawling story,” Nintendo announced today.
The maps will start rolling out on May 5, with Map I: Endless Dreams—wherein Kana, “lost and alone,” is looking for her allies. It’ll cost $0.50. The following maps will tell an ongoing story, and leveled-up units from the main game won’t be able to lend support. Players will have to “devise a strategy using a fresh team” to succeed.
Map II: Realms Collide will release May 12 for $2 USD, when players must assist the youths of Nohr in helping a wild dragon. The Changing Tide, Map III, follows “Shiro’s wounded band” as they attempt to “seize an opportunity.” It releases May 19, for $2 USD.
Map IV: Light’s Sacrifice has “a reluctant Siegbert” entering the fray. Map IV releases May 26 for $2 USD. The player’s party will storm the enemy gates in Map V: Endless Dawn when it releases on June 2, for $2 USD. Finally, in End: Lost in the Waves, “the next generation” will take on “their ultimate foe.” It’ll release on June 9 for $2 USD.
Those looking to receive all maps as they release are able to purchase Map Pack 2 for $8 USD. Additionally, players who already own Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright or Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest will be gifted a special bonus of the Boots and Paragon items from Anna.
Fire Emblem Fates released February 19 for Nintendo 3DS systems. Nintendo recently announced that Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing would be getting their own smartphone apps.
